Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  • Mix butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add egg and molasses: Mix in the egg and molasses until combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients

  • Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
