Creamy Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Mashed potatoes are a great choice to pair with turkey. Simple but full of rich flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1kg potatoes
- 100g Unsalted butter
- 200ml heavy cream (or milk for a lighter option)
- Salt, pepper & garlic powder
Instructions:
Cook the potatoes: Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Let them cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.
Mash the potatoes: Drain the water and return the potatoes to the pot. Use a potato masher or ricer for smooth, lump-free mashed potatoes.
Mix in butter and cream: Add the butter and milk. Stir until the butter melts and everything is smooth and creamy. Add sour cream if used for extra richness.
Season and serve: Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh herbs like chives or parsley, and serve warm.
